Private Couples Intensive

Couples Intimacy Retreat

Less pressure. More curiosity. A renewed sense of us.

A different kind of space

You can love each other and still miss each other.

You manage a life together, but the moments that once made you feel like a couple have become harder to find. Perhaps one of you wants more sex while the other feels pressured. Perhaps affection has faded, or talking about intimacy ends in hurt, silence, or another conversation postponed.

The Couples Intimacy Retreat offers a private space in Siesta Key to slow down and understand what connection means to each of you now. With Wendy Haggerty and Dr. Maureen Ryan, you can explore the emotional, relational, and sexual concerns that are difficult to untangle in everyday life.

This is not about meeting a quota, performing, or returning to who you used to be. It is about building a shared language for desire, comfort, pleasure, and closeness—and making room for an intimate life that works for both of you.

What we can explore together

Connection begins with understanding, not performance.

Conversations that open doors

Practice sharing wants, worries, and boundaries without turning a vulnerable conversation into an argument.

Your unique desire patterns

Explore how stress, context, life stage, and relationship dynamics influence desire. Difference does not have to mean incompatibility.

Touch without an agenda

Learn about consent-centered, pressure-free ways to approach affection and private at-home touch practices.

Comfort in your changing body

Make space for body image, performance worries, and the impact of health changes on sexual confidence.

Emotional closeness

Notice the patterns that leave you feeling unseen, and practice responding with greater curiosity and care.

Everyday room for pleasure

Identify realistic ways to bring affection, play, and intentional time together back into the life you actually live.

Is this right for you?

For couples who want to turn toward each other, but need help finding a way back to emotional and physical connection.

You do not need to have the perfect words for what is happening. These experiences may feel familiar.

  • You feel more like roommates or co-managers than partners.
  • Different levels of desire have become a source of rejection or pressure.
  • Parenthood, midlife, illness, or other transitions have changed your intimate life.
  • You want to talk about sex, touch, or pleasure with less embarrassment and defensiveness.

The focus of your retreat

From difficult conversations to new possibilities.

01

Understand what gets in the way

Bring your different experiences into the conversation, including the things you have struggled to name. The focus begins with understanding, not assigning fault.

02

Explore connection differently

With guidance from two AASECT-certified sexuality professionals, consider new ways to communicate, respond to one another, and approach intimacy with choice and curiosity.

03

Bring the work home

Identify practices and conversations you can continue beyond Siesta Key. Meaningful change grows through what you do together after the retreat, too.
